Talk about a sweet deal: Lauren Bush Lauren is aligning her FEED Projects charity with Godiva, teaming up to create a line of totes (some with candy inside!) that benefit her organization.
The FEED 10 Godiva bags were handmade by women in Liberia — and the purchase of each (they start at $25) provides 10 school meals for children in need. Over the course of the next two years, Godiva hopes to give 200,000 meals to children in cocoa-producing regions of Africa.
“The bag is a win-win, because it is supporting women’s livelihoods as well as providing essential nutrition for kids around the world,” Lauren tells PEOPLE.
Timed to the launch, Godiva is also launching its own charitable initiative, the Lady Godiva Program, which spotlights women who make a difference on a local and national level — and Lauren is the first honoree.
“It’s a wonderful initiative,” Lauren tells PEOPLE, “and I am thrilled and proud to be a part of it.”
