Eagle-eyed bargain hunters have discovered a supermarket glitch that allows customers to buy as much ice cream as they want for the price of one £2.50 tub.
Savvy shoppers can snap up a seemingly unlimited number of low-calorie Breyers Delights ice cream punnets for just £2.50 using an offers glitch at Sainsbury’s.
The deal works when customers buy a half price 500ml tub of Breyers ice cream for £2.50.
When they scan the tub at the till and also swipe their Nectar card, shoppers will be given a voucher for £2.50 off another tub – meaning that customers can buy more ice cream free of charge.
One customer picked up a whopping 11 tubs of Breyers low-calorie ice cream for just £2.50 by using a deals glitch at Sainsbury’s
The glitch, shared by consumers on the HotUKDeals website, only works if you scan one tub through at a time in separate purchases.
First shoppers have to buy a tub of Breyers ice cream, which is currently on offer at Sainsbury’s with the price reduced from £5 to £2.50.
When the tub is scanned in store, it’s reported that shoppers will be given a coupon for £2.50 off Breyers ice cream thanks to an offers glitch.
The coupon can then be used to purchase another tub of the low-calorie ice cream – which comes in flavours including smooth vanilla, cookies and cream and creamy chocolate – free of charge.

Although the voucher is single use only, some customers have reported a glitch which means when the free tub is scanned at the till, they then receive another voucher for £2.50 off Breyers ice cream.
A few shoppers used the trick to pick up up to 14 tubs of ice cream in one go.
The glitch was first spotted by HotUKDeals member nihir, who snapped up seven ice cream tubs for just £2.50.
Another user said they picked up 10 tubs, while one reported picking up 20 punnets in one shop.
Some have reported that the hack only works if you have a Nectar card to generate the coupon, but others said they received the vouchers even without the loyalty card.
The offer is said to only work in store.
The glitch was still working on Sunday evening, customers said.
