Clea and Joanna have organized the closets, pantries, and playrooms of numerous A-list celebrities, including Khloe Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, Busy Philipps, and Mandy Moore.
However, they had their hands full with Hoda’s mess, which even her two-year-old daughter Haley Joy thought was a bit out of control.
Before the organization gurus arrived, the doting mom picked up her little girl and asked: ‘Okay, is this neat or messy?’
Haley took one look at the closet that was stuffed to the brim with clothes, shoes, and random objects, and said: ‘Messy.’
Luckily for the journalist, Clea and Joanna were ready to work.

‘I know you guys have seen some big amazing closets,’ Hoda warned them before opening her closet doors. ‘This is the opposite of that.’
The Home Edit founders were incredibly optimistic, and Joanna told the journalist: ‘Well, you know, there is a lot of room for improvement.’
‘We just have to get rid of a few things,’ Clea added, explaining that they like to keep a space 80 per cent full so there is room to move and grow.
‘Are you horrified?’ Hoda asked, but the duo assured her that they were not even a little afraid to take on her closet.
They started the home makeover by going through Hoda’s clothes, shoes, and accessories to see what she wanted to keep and what she was willing to part with.
Keeping it real: Clea and Joanna have organizes many celebrity homes, and Hoda warned them that her closet was far from glamorous

However, there were plenty of surprises for the organization team, who were stunned by some of the items they found sitting deep inside Hoda’s closet.
‘Are those ski pants? Hoda asked, admitting: ‘Okay, I have never gone skiing.’
The anchor, who is a known fan of the New Orleans Saints, had four of the team’s NFL jerseys, and she opted to keep them all.
Hoda was so excited that she started jumping up and down, but then things started to get a bit weird.
‘Why are there socks in a mug?’ Clea asked, removing crumbled, mismatched socks from a coffee mug that was also filled with pens.
But why? There were plenty of surprises for the organization team, who were stunned by some of the items they found sitting deep inside Hoda’s closet

When Clea found a bag of Cold-EEZE medicine, she said: ‘I just want to move it to the bathroom is all I am saying.’
They also came across tennis balls, a children’s book, cards that never got sent, and even a brochure for a cruise ship.
There were also plenty of random things stored in Hoda’s handbags, which they couldn’t help but laugh about when they were sorting through them.
In one bag, they found just one of Haley’s shoes. Others were filled with random objects, including a bottle of Pepcid AC, a bracelet, a bag of Craisins, and not one but two razors.
After sorting through what she wanted to keep and donate, Hoda wished the team luck and let them do their thing.

Clea and Joanna brought in clear containers, baskets, boxes, and hangers to transform Hoda’s disorganized closet into a Pinterest-inspired space.
They hit a snag when it came to choosing boxes for Hoda’s shoe collection, but they pushed through and kept going.
The organizers maximized every inch of Hoda’s space, sorting everything by color and style. The Today show star was jumping up and down when it was time to take a look at her new closet.
Hoda screamed when they opened her closet doors and revealed the incredibly organized space, which was filled labeled containers to ensure that everything was in its proper place.
Hoda’s clothes were hung up by color and style. Her boots were lined up on her top shelves and even her journals were meticulously stacked together.

‘This is unbelievable. I kind of want to start crying,’ she gushed. ‘Oh my God. You guys, I love it. I don’t know how to thank you.’
This actually wasn’t the first time Hoda has gotten professional help cleaning out her messy closet.
In 2015, Today fashion expert Jill Martin helped Hoda get organized in a segment that aired on the show, but the lessons she learned that day clearly didn’t take.
However, Hoda seems to be more invested in keeping things in their rightful place this time around.
After the segment aired, Hoda opened up about the experience with her Today show costars on Wednesday morning’s show.
Added touch: All of Hoda’s jouranals were lined up on the top shelf of her closet

Next up: Savannah Guthrie, pictured on the Today show with Clea and Joanna in January, revealed that they are coming to her house to help her organize her children’s toys
‘The only one more surprised than me was Joel,’ she said of her longtime partner. ‘He was like, “Oh my God.”‘
‘And I’ve left it open and clean. It’s still okay,’ she added, but she quickly admitted that ‘it’s not as perfect’ as it was.
‘It’s like a work of art,’ Al Roker said, and Carson Daly agreed.
‘They’re incredible — that they get that excited to do the very things that we all procrastinate and don’t like to do,’ he said.
Savannah Guthrie revealed that they are actually coming to her house next to help her clean up the toy clutter from her children Vale, four, and Charley, two.
